You Saved Big Under Michigan's Proposal A
While Village's do not collect taxes, this article provides information on Michigan's confusing Property Tax system.  Since 1994, with the voter approval of Proposal A, taxpayer confusion regarding SEV, Taxable Value, and increasing tax bills when SEV is falling has grown.  This article helps explain the system, its advantages and its pitfalls.  This article also compares a tax bill with and without Proposal A.  To read the article and see the example, click here.

Michigan Public Act 295 Information
